Overseas Lantern Festival Celebrates Chinese Festivals| Jinan Springs Culture Entered the Friendship City of Rennes

On February 22, on the eve of the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar, the Jinan International Communication Center (JICC) and the Confucius Institute in Rennes, France, jointly held a unique cultural exchange activity, in which the Nishan Bookstore was overflowing with festive atmosphere. Friends from China and France gathered together to experience and feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

At the beginning of the activity, the Nishan Bookstore was decorated with giant red lanterns and "Fu" characters, which were full of joy and peace. Accompanied by cheerful Chinese music, foreigners stopped to watch a video about Jinan Springs. The images of clear springs flowing over rocks and blue waves made everyone present feel the unique charm of Jinan Spring City.

The Jinan International Communication Center invited the director of the Confucius Institute and teachers who are well-versed in Jinan and Chinese culture to give on-site explanations. They not only introduced the historical and cultural heritage of Jinan in detail but also shared the legends and stories behind the springs. The foreigners listened with great interest and made exclamations of admiration from time to time.

In order to let foreigners experience Chinese New Year customs more deeply, the activity site also set up a number of interactive links. Foreigners tried their hands on traditional skills such as paper-cutting and writing Chinese fortune words to experience the charm of Chinese culture and art. There was a lot of laughter on the spot, and the Chinese and foreign friends welcomed the Lantern Festival together in this auspicious and festive atmosphere.
